RUBBER STAMPS

JLM Trains is proud to announce that we have acquired the tooling and equipment
to produce the highest quality rubber stamps from Jerry Butler Rubber
Stamps.
All of the rubber stamps offered are made by a photoengraving
process. Lettering was photographed on original cars or locomotives, retouched
and the resulting image was used to produce the engraved steel dies. This
enables you to restamp your restored trains and accessories with lettering
identical to the original. No stock type is used.
Getting Started
The easiest way to get started is with our Ink Stamping
Starter Kit. It contains everything you need except the stamps and cleanup
solvent (mineral spirits works best). It consists of the proper roller, glass
plate, one bottle each of black, gold, silver and white oil based inks, lint
free cleanup pads and full instructions.

Ink
All of our ink is specially formulated to cover properly and
dry on a non porous surface. A small amount of retarder is added to make it dry
slower in the event that you mis-stamp and have to wipe off the lettering and
try again. Once you are satisfied with your work, drying overnight is
recommended. Ink can be thinned or cleaned up with mineral spirits. Each color
is shipped in a small 1/2 ounce bottle and contains enough ink to make hundreds
of impressions with medium sized stamps.
