I've added your name to the Desert division's Guinness World Book of Records list since you'll be loaning us the 2 7/8's track. It would probably be best if you sent it to me.  If I can have it by the 18th of November, that would be great. Also, let me know of the cost of shipping. Thanks loads, Gordon Wilson.

Great train site!!! All items really seem like quality products. I can remember when my father worked at Lionel's Irvington plant. I was a kid --what did I know? I should have asked him to bring some of the big stuff home. He did bring post-war "O" home every so often. Bye for now.

On my family's request, I broke out and assembled with plenty of happy help) our 1952 American Flyer freight train (engine #293) over the holidays...and all the old fun came back in a rush. It's back in the attic in original cartons...but now I've got the bug to renew it, expand it, and revive a 50 year old dream! And your site only adds to the fever! Thanks.

I admire this web site. Simply viewing the few pictures you have shown of your gorgeous reproductions has given me the flavor of what it must have been like to experience toy trains in the early 1900's.

I have a friend who has an original "No. 6" Steam Engine and Tender that needs to be cleaned up and possibly re-painted. The boiler front is also chipped up a little at the edges. What is the best way for him to contact your company for an estimate of what it might cost him to put these fine pieces back in order ??

gentlemen: for years I have been searching for the name of a sound station I acquired. At your site I discovered that what I have is a 450 Talking

Station. It plays very well after a I replaced the pot metal play disk with one made of either aluminum or stainless steel. I would like to get some estimate of its

current market value if you can provide. I intend to spend more time visiting all aspects of your site--it is fascinating.

Hi Joe, I very much enjoyed your web site. While I was at the Lionel Showroom as early as 1956, My earliest recollections are of the Super O Layout. The shot of the village area in snow must have been in early 1957 just before they dismantled it. I wish there were better pictures of it. I wrote an article on the 1957 Super O Showroom Layout in the November 1997 Classic Toy Trains. Thanks for sharing, I enjoyed it! Skip Natoli Natoliskip@aol.com

Hi, I am so glad to see your website. I am a Lionel collector/operator and have recently ventured into prewar Lionel's. I have a few prewar pieces that I am considering having restored. THE major one right now is a 2817 caboose. I have one that has no bends or dents, and the plates seem good, but the red paint and the silver paint are "very chipped." This is part of a 1938 set I have re-combined. Most of the cars I have are Excellent to Like New except this caboose. Could you give me a quote as to price and time? I was happy to see how every detail was covered, even the collector plate was polished! Your color matching was excellent and your restoration of the chassis was done with special skill and pride. Wow - Joe Mania is a true artist! Joe just restored a really nice Lionel 220 Searchlight car for me that was in good shape except for the fact that my uncle painted it silver about 50 years ago. Joe restored it to it's original terra cotta & black colors and it now looks wonderful - like it just came out of the Lionel factory. I am very happy with Joe's work and his fee is very reasonable. Joe is the man!
Thanks again Joe for a great job!
Merry Christmas
